GSOC Publishes Protected Disclosures Annual Report 2019

This is the fourth Protected Disclosures Annual Report from GSOC and it covers the period of 01 January 2019 to 31 December 2019.

Under section 22 of the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 each public body is required to publish an annual report outlining the number of protected disclosures received in the preceding year and the action taken (if any).

The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) received 31 protected disclosures from gardaí in 2019. This brings the total number on hand to 67 which includes the 36 carried over from 2018.
The figures are contained in GSOC’s 2019 Annual Report on Protected Disclosures which has now been published.

The figures contained in the GSOC Annual Report on Protected Disclosures refer to protected disclosures made by gardaí to the three Ombudsman Commissioners.
