GSOC Publishes Protected Disclosures Annual Report 2021
This is the sixth Protected Disclosures Annual Report from GSOC covering the period of 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2021.
Under section 22 of the Protected Disclosures Act, 2014 each public body is required to publish an annual report outlining the number of protected disclosures received in the preceding year and the action taken (if any).
The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) received 20 protected disclosures from Gardaí in 2021. The figures refer to protected disclosures made by members of the Garda Síochána to the Ombudsman Commission under section 7 and section 8 of the Protected Disclosures Act, 2014.
There were no protected disclosures made by GSOC staff under section 6 of the Protected Disclosures Act, 2014 in the period covered by this report.
