GSOC is recruiting for Investigations Officer(s) in the Protected Disclosures Unit
The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) directly and independently investigates complaints against members of An Garda Síochána. Under the Protected Disclosures Act 2014, employees of An Garda Síochána, including Garda members, may now confidentially disclose allegations of wrongdoings, within An Garda Síochána, to a member of the Ombudsman Commission.

The successful candidates will:
- have relevant experience dealing with criminal investigations in a law enforcement setting, including managing investigations and scene assessment;
- possess a full understanding of and commitment to the fundamental principles of human rights within the framework of the European Convention on Human Rights;
- demonstrate excellent analytical and judgement skills;
- have strong interpersonal, written communication and information technology skills;
- have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
